Bo Ji is the Founder of China Start and China CEO, an inspiring TEDx speaker, a Chinaprenuer, and a game changer in the global startup ecosystem. Bo is currently the Assistant Dean & Chief Representative for Europe at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB), a top business school with more than 10,000 chairman/CEO level alumni in China. Bo had an over-20-year successful corporate career in Global Business Development, Innovation, Strategy, Supply Chain Management, M&A, etc. He served as the head quarters of many fortune 500 companies such as Monsanto, Cargill, Pfizer, Wrigley and Mars. After a long corporate life, Bo became a serial entrepreneur and investor.

Cllr Xingang Wang JP was educated at Imperial College London, Oxford University and Harvard Business School. He has 18 years of experience in consultancy and investment banking, and his former employers include JP Morgan, Barclays Capital and Scotiabank. Xingang was also a Director in SMBC Nikko before he set up his own consultancy firm focusing on investment and finance. He is leading property investment for selective private clients and advising post acquisition accounting practice for US banks acquiring German banks as part of the Brexit strategy. During his spare time, he mentors business school graduates, advises a top AI start-up and a cultural organisation. Xingang published a book on career advice, his M&A working paper was discussed at international academic conferences and he was awarded as a member of Top 100 People in Finance by an American magazine. Xingang has actively involved in his local community as well as local and national politics. He is currently a magistrate, a local councillor and he stood in UK General Elections three times. Xingang also served as a school governor, a charity trustee and in advisory roles across several industries and political organisations.

Mattia is Founding Partner and Co-Chief Investment Officer at Eterna Capital. Mattia was previously a member of BlackRock's Institutional Client Business, supporting the development, management and execution of their business strategy by analysing market trends and drawing insights from data and decision-making frameworks. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mattia worked in strategy consulting for four years at Capgemini Consulting UK and Ernst & Young. His role in the Financial Services Strategy Division involved working on different projects for several major clients in the investment banking, wealth management and asset management industries. Mattia holds a BSc in Business Engineering from Politecnico di Torino and a MSc in Management Engineering with specialisation in Financial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. 


Joe Thornton is a partner at Playfair Capital, as well as the fund’s head of talent. Previously he was a lawyer in training and then a member of the people operations teams at Google and Facebook, where he spent his time finding and hiring exceptional engineering talent. Since joining Playfair in 2015, Joe has split his time between helping the fund's founders to scale their early teams and finding exceptional talent for the fund to invest into. He has led multiple deals and  sits on the board of a number of companies. 


Helen Wang is the CEO of BGTA, an accelerator focused on UK, Europe and China cross continental activities. Helen is also the founder and CEO of Cambridge Innovation Academy, an organisation that offers world-class education and research in entrepreneurship and innovation. Prior to BGTA, Helen had years of experiences in the financial industry by working for major global investment banks in London. In addition to her work with BGTA and Cambridge Innovation Academy, Helen holds Advisory positions with Chinese and European public and private organizations and remains closely connected to the worldwide investment community. Helen is a founder and active participant to the UK and China Fintech Alliance. Helen is an advocate of diversity, she is particular interest in women in technology and female leadership development. 


Jane Jin is currently the project manager of technology licensing and spinoffs at Oxford University Innovation. Mainly responsible for the intellectual property management of Oxford University and the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. These include feasibility assessments of market and patent applications, early seed fund applications, and financing and formation of early-stage startups. In addition to being responsible for nearly a hundred projects in the fields of clean energy and low-carbon environmental protection, Dr. Jin is also involved in the management of social enterprise projects at Oxford University and the expansion of the Chinese market. Prior to that, Dr. King worked as a senior analyst for a technology innovation consulting company in Cambridge Technology Park for nearly four years, providing assessment and consulting on new technology and new product investment opportunities for European and American multinational companies such as P & G, Shell, and Nestle. Dr. King was awarded the Honourable Mention of the Best Graduate Graduate Degree in Chemistry from the University of Leeds, UK, and was awarded a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge in 2010.

Chunjing joined Cambridge Enterprise as a Technology Associate in the life sciences team in 2012. Before joining Cambridge Enterprise she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at MRC-Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge. Chunjing obtained a PhD in Neurobiology at Department of Pharmacology, University of Cambridge. She helped 60 million pounds financing of 15 startups, and helped XO1 transfer IP with 0.1 billion pounds.
